Most decent jobs want a degree, a connection, or five years of experience for an entry-level role. The Enrolled Agent credential wants you to pass three exams.
“Five years of experience. For entry level.”No degree required
There’s no college or accounting degree needed to sit for the exam. No student loans required.
Good in all 50 states
The IRS issues the credential, so it’s federal. Move across the country and it moves with you.
Unlimited practice rights
Enrolled Agents can represent any taxpayer on any tax matter before the IRS. That’s real authority.
Work that comes back every year
Taxes are due in good economies and bad ones. Somebody has to know how they work.

Correct: BThe e-file requirement kicks in at 10 or more information returns for the year, counting all types together. 3 + 7 = 10, so Ned must e-file.

The kaiju is the mascot. Michael Jones, EA, CFP® wrote the lessons.
Michael Jones earned his EA and other credentials entirely through self-study on his own while working two jobs just to make ends meet. He was frustrated by the lack of good exam prep programs, so he made his own.
“The EA exam is one you don’t want to have to sit for more than once.”

Fair questions.
Ask away. I had questions too.Do I need an accounting degree?+
No. There’s no education requirement to sit for the Enrolled Agent exam. You’ll need a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) from the IRS to schedule it, which you can get online.
Which part should I take first?+
You can take the three parts in any order. Many people start with Part 1, Individuals, because it builds the foundation for the other two.
How long will it take me to prepare?+
[Your recommended study timeline, e.g. hours per week and weeks per part.]
Does the membership include the exam fee?+
No. You pay PSI, the IRS’s testing vendor, $317 each time you schedule a part. Check IRS.gov for the current amount before you book.
Can I cancel?+
Yes. You can cancel the monthly plan any time and you won’t be charged again. You keep access until the end of the month you’ve already paid for. All purchases are final, so there are no refunds; that’s what the free practice quiz and sample lesson are for. Details are in our refund policy.

No. ExamZilla is an independent exam-prep course. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by the Internal Revenue Service or PSI.
